"EYE OF THE HEAVENS"
POWER TYPE - OUTCAST
Contrary to his devoted lifestyle of mastering the sword-arts, upon becoming a Spirit Guardian under the employment of the Spirit World officials, Izanagi came to suddenly unlocked a special, latent power from within the depths of his soul. Originally titled the "eyes of the heavens", since his belief used to be that he was endowed with the power by a greater god to fulfill his responsibility, the death of his beloved wife Izanami caused him such grief that he chose to no longer consider the powerful ability an extension of the gods, but the driving force behind the vengeance he swears to perform in the name of his late wife. The sole reason for how Izanagi came to earn the title "the one who invites", the core of the ability is based on summoning, granting the masterful swordsman the wish of bringing forth anything he so desires to a location near him, from seemingly nowhere. However, this ability is not conjuration, since he cannot create objects/organisms from nothing, meaning that Izanagi must have come into contact with what he wants to "invite" prior to activating it. The special ability is entirely an act of teleportation -- however, it does come with restrictions, as Izanagi cannot affect himself with the ability. The concept is simple: Izanagi activates the ability, his eyes becoming entirely colored with a bright violet, several consecutive black circles branching out from his pupil. Through visually observing a target, Izanagi "shares" his energy with the target through implanting a mark reminiscent of the pattern on his newly-formed eyes, which can never be removed unless Izanagi wishes it to be, or until his death. The mark is usually extremely small, and provides nothing but a designated target for what he chooses to summon. While limited to what he can call forth, the ability has the potential to become extremely dangerous.
TOTSUKA BLADE - THE ART OF KENJUTSU
Before the Spirit Guardian was indebted with the responsibility of protecting the innocent, he had earned a reputation as a feared samurai from Japan, serving valiantly in their prestigious military. During the youth of his past life, Izanagi acquired his first blade, and trained day and night to master the japanese art of sword-fighting, also known as "kenjutsu". Highly dedicated to this style and it's teachings, Izanagi understands that wielding a sword is nothing short of a discipline, and mastering it's usage enables the holder's fighting capabilities to reach greater heights than what the human body could normally comprehend. The most important aspects of mastering kenjutsu for the bearded samurai has recently beckoned for controlling his strength and increasing his speed, which is highly important for a hand-to-hand combatant like himself. However, neither of them are without patience and critical perception in the midst of battle, which Izanagi has learned to accept. Constantly equipped with a deadly blade at his waist, Izanagi is rarely seen without Tostuka, a three-foot, steel katana with an appearance that clearly shows it's extensive mileage, but it has yet to be deemed unserviceable. Hypersonic and precise, Izanagi has shown to always be analytical and cautious of his opponents before responding, always scheming to put them down in one swift motion instead of two or more. Because of this, he has become trained in the anatomy of the body, and never hesitates to kill before asking questions. While one would call this train of thought "reckless" and "merciless", Izanagi considers it to be the "wise decision".
TECHNIQUES
SHOUTAIJOU - "THE INVITATION"
The perfect example and most fundamental technique in his arsenal, this technique allows Izanagi the ability to instantaneously transport an object that he has marked with his special eyes, "Izanami", to a location within one [1] meter of him. The technique, however, is a calling -- meaning he cannot use it to willingly teleport objects anywhere he chooses. The restriction of the technique demands that Izanagi can only teleport an object to a destination that is closer to him than it's original position, since the purpose of the ability is to draw objects toward him. Due to being extremely amateurish with his spiritual control and the refining of his ability, Izanagi can only summon one [1] object at a time, and the object cannot be any larger than five [5] feet in diameter. Secondly, Izanagi cannot affect living organisms with this technique, as that requires extensive training and better control of his power. Lastly, the technique's range cannot exceed that of anything that is outside of the same thread/general area that he is currently in (i.e. another city).
POWER CEILING: His power ceiling allows him to produce a marking for an Effort cost, and transporting things to him for an identical Effort cost. Making these markings is done by staring and projecting the marking within ten (10) meters, moving at speeds relative to his own speed stat in a straight-line trajectory. Due to it's size and color is relatively hard to see, but gives off a very distinct aura of Reiki that those with Perception equal or higher than his own can detect easily.
